Originally built in 1949, Welcome Stadium has been a hub for athletic competitions, community events, and memorable experiences for the last 75 years. Many notable athletes got their start at Welcome Stadium, including Keith Byars, Dan Wilkinson, and Edwin C. Moses, to name a few.
Since opening, the stadium had not undergone any major renovations. That changed in 2022 when the Dayton Public School District committed funding for massive renovations to modernize the facilities, improve accessibility, and ultimately turn the stadium into a state-of-the-art sports complex suitable for Division I high school and Division III college athletics.
In order to fully realize this vision, the district needs YOUR support!
By donating to support this project, you will help the district construct a field house and a second field. No donation is too small, and all funds will go toward providing students with the high-quality stadium they deserve.
Dayton Public Schools is an urban district with more than 12,000 students in PreK-12th grade.
